Timely Warning
The Brown University Department of Public Safety provides this notice in compliance with the Timely Notice provision of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act.
Incident
On Saturday, June 11, 2022, at approximately 7:20 pm, the Brown University Department of Public Safety responded to an assault of a Brown University community member. The community member was walking on Prospect Street between Angell and Olive Streets when a blue sedan drove by and fired a projectile that struck the community member in the arm. The community member was not injured. This matter is under investigation by the Providence Police Department. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Providence Police Department at 401-272-3121 or the Brown University Department of Public Safety at 401-863-3322.
