Building a community is important to the DPS. Through this dialogue program, student organizations can talk to officers on campus during a meeting whose agenda is created by both students and officers.

The Department of Public Safety offers informal opportunities for conversations with department leadership through our Listening Session Initiative.

DPS partners with AAA Northeast to assist students in traveling safely and conducts a car checkup right on campus.

DPS has been partnering with The MET High School in Providence for ten years to provide hands-on experiences for students to learn about law enforcement.

Throughout the year, DPS initiates or participates in a number of community service projects.
