On Saturday, March 4, 2023, at approximately 1055hrs, the Brown University Department of Public Safety responded to a Brown University community member who reported being fired at with pellets. The community member stated that the vehicle was a four-door, gray, or white SUV. The driver was pointing what appeared to be a pellet gun and then drove away traveling south on Thayer Street. The community member was uninjured as a result of being hit with the projectiles.
