Street & Parking Restrictions May 1-2 Commencement Weekend

Brown University's Commencement activities will be held between Saturday, May 1st and Sunday, May 2nd. The Department of Public Safety is providing notice of on-street parking restrictions and related traffic information. STREET CLOSINGS and NO PARKING restrictions will be in effect during this period. Please make note of these changes to ensure your weekend goes smoothly.

·Prospect Street both sides of street from George Street to Angell Street.

·College Street both sides of street from Benefit Street to Prospect Street.

·Waterman Street both sides of street from Prospect Street to Thayer Street. 

·George Street both sides of street from Bannister Street to Thayer Street. 

·Thayer Street both sides of street from Waterman Street to George Street. 

·Brown Street both sides of street from Angell Street to Waterman Street.

·Brown Street both sides of street from Benevolent Street to George Street.

Please keep in mind that there will be The Providence Marathon going on in the area and the City of Providence has closed the following streets due to the race:

·Canal Street from Smith to Steeple

·College from Memorial to South Main

·South Water Street

·Point Street Bridge

·India Street eastbound

·Gano Street northbound

·Pitman Street

·India Street exit on 195 East

·Gano Street exit from 195 west
