Timely Warning

The Brown University Department of Public Safety provides this notice in compliance with the Timely Notice provision of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act.

Incident

On Friday, November 24, 2023 at approximately 7:15 PM Brown University Department of Public Safety was notified of a sexual assault that took place earlier on campus.  The victim reported that the suspect was familiar to them and was described as five feet ten inches tall with salt and pepper hair and goatee.  The suspect fled the victim’s residence heading North on Hope Street. 

This matter is under investigation by the Providence Police Department. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Providence Police Department at 401-272-3121 or the Brown University Department of Public Safety at 401-863-3322.
